Corrado Interior Swap/Sunroof Replacement pg.3
Updates...
Half way to no more stretched out, dirty tan leather driver side door card.......
Heres a comparisin....and a little bit of a speaker swap.
The camera makes all the black cloth look purple. But its not. Even the headliner, youll see.
Swaped, minus a speaker cover, in the process of looking for one.
The plastic liner got a little messed up as we had to bend out the little support for the inner clip of the door handle to clip in. The people who owned this before me were too lazy to clip it back in to place so they drilled a hole right threw the plastic and into the metal of the door. I got a new one from Jess dogg though.
Swapped! New interior door handle. Plus...a speaker cover, sweet.
The grab handle on the door messed with us for a bit though, for some reason the screws wouldnt re-thread into the apropriate holes. Then after like 20 mins they started threading in, it was weird. But we got it.
The inner rim of the sun roof couldn't be covered with head liner because the material was too think and if put on, when i opend my sun roof, it would tear off. Not good. So, i thought maybe to be a little different i would just paint it. I had to sand some of the remaining glue off, then i did a little wet sanding to smooth it out. After that a few layers of just simple flat black were applied.
Finished product of paint. Looks much better in person, trust.
I promise my headliner isn't purple, its just the flash or something on the camera. That center modual unit with the light and sunroof button in it was orginally tan, but i used this special material paint and sprayed it. Came out pretty sweet. We didnt think it was gonna come out that good. In person its more impressing. Damn cameras.
